Two Shows: 7:30pm & 9:30pm It is the uncommon blend of old and new that ultimately sets The Brat Pack apart from their contemporaries. Armed with their own unique style, a fusion of blues and jazz, they can effortlessly put their own unique spin on modern tunes, and slip comfortably into the tried-and-true standards of yesterday with ease. Bassist David de Koenigswarter, an Eric Clapton and Ron Carter enthusiast whose family tree attests to the fact that music literally is in his blood, being the grandson of the famous Nica Rothschild de Koenigswarter, Pianist RJ Pineda, a child prodigy whose repertoire spans from Rachmaninoff to Ray Charles. Allan Abdulla, a St. Scholastica's College Conservatory of Music graduate now currently a percussion/drum professor and a member of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra and Christine Mercado, a graduate of De La Salle – College of St. Benilde with a degree in Bachelor of Arts - Major in Music Production. Her love for music started at the age of 4 .At that moment, she became interested in singing and started learning how to play the piano. The Brat Pack is a young band that has been through a lot of ups and downs. Originally being a jazz trio formed by David and RJ, they were forced to find a new singer when the original vocalist moved to New York to pursue a higher education in music. Eventually, after shifting through a pool of singers, Christine became the woman to stay and be a part of the crew. Allan then hopped on board and the group is now a Blues/Jazz Piano Trio with a singer. The Brat Pack has played at many big and popular venues in the Philippines such as Roadhouse Manila Bay ,Salon de Ning - Manila Peninsula, The Tap Room - Manila Hotel, Pangulasian Island, El Nido - Palawan, The Club Room - 7th High, but only now has turned more towards the blues side being more jazz faced in the beginning. This group is out to make the country proud and play the blues with the attitude of a fancy jazzer and a liberated rockstar.
